The Coronavirus Response and Relief Supplemental Appropriations Act

CRRSA/HEERF II Act Funding

The Coronavirus Response and Relief Supplemental Appropriations (CRRSA) Act was passed by Congress and signed into law by President Trump on December 27, 2020. The CRRSA Act includes emergency grant funding to assist students with expenses related to the cost of attendance and emergency costs that arise due to coronavirus. The act provides institutions funds to defray expenses associated with coronavirus including lost revenue, technology costs, and payroll. Check out the US Department of Education's CRRSA Act page.

The student portion of this funding is to help students with their current expenses related to pursuing their higher education goals. To qualify for this grant money, students must be eligible to participate in programs under Section 484 in Title IV of the Higher Education Act. Additionally, students must have filed a FAFSA for the 2020-2021 academic year and have demonstrated eligibility to participate in programs under Section 484 of the HEA. These HEERF II funds are for expenses related to any component of their cost of attendance or emergency costs that arise due to the coronavirus. Expenses include costs such as tuition, food, housing, course materials, technology, health care, and childcare.

Great Basin College was awarded $235,030 to be used and distributed to students affected under this act. To date, 澳门新甫京娱乐游戏在线下载 has distributed $235,030 to 1,100 students enrolled in spring 2021 term and identified by 澳门新甫京娱乐游戏在线下载 as meeting the requirements for this funding.

Great Basin College awarded eligible students’ who were in at least 6 credits and less than 12 credits $139. Eligible students’ who were enrolled in 12 or more credits during the spring 2021 semester were awarded $285.

All students enrolled during the spring 2021 semester received the following letter about the CARES Act.

Great Basin College was awarded a total of $1,088,235 in CRRSA Act Institutional funds. This funding allows 澳门新甫京娱乐游戏在线下载 to cover lost revenues for the college and student housing and payroll expenses. As of June 30, 2021, 澳门新甫京娱乐游戏在线下载 has expended $752,263.47 of these funds on payroll related expenses. In addition, $25,045 was spent on technology and $310,926.53 for indirect costs.

Great Basin College was awarded a total of $52,456 in CRRSA Act Strengthening Institutions Program funds. This funding allows 澳门新甫京娱乐游戏在线下载 to cover lost revenues for the college, student housing, payroll and expenses related to technology. As of June 30, 2021, 澳门新甫京娱乐游戏在线下载 has expended $37,948.73 of these funds on technology related expenses. In addition, $14,507.27 was for indirect costs.

As of June 30, 2021, all funds received by Great Basin College through the CRRSA Act funding have been spent.
